Description:
位在国家公园内，这109个佛教石窟是公元2到9世纪佛教僧侣在此定居的证明。这里有一系列佛教精舍(Viharas)和塔庙(Chaityas：耆那教与佛教有宝塔的庙宇)。这些佛教石窟或者和尚们进行苦修的精舍建于大约公元1世纪左右，这些没有象岛石窟(名列世界遗产)在雕工造诣上如此讲究艺术，而是简朴毫无装饰。事实上，坎赫里可能是研究西印度佛教兴衰的唯一线索了。
