距离Tiplicae不远，位于美勒坡Mylapoe，有一个8世纪的巴拉伐古庙Pallava temple，供奉湿婆神。庙的楼塔具有明显的德拉威建筑风格，而且有许多美丽的雕塑。庙宇的院子有一棵老Puai树，树下有一个小神龛，说的是帕娃提女神(Goddess Pavathi)化作孔雀朝拜湿婆的传说。美勒坡Mylapoe的名字正是来源于此----'Myli'意为孔雀，'Oo'意为城镇。
