桑塔拉德维庙矗立在距台拉登大约15公里处，是该地最受人崇敬的寺庙之一。该庙是人民信仰的象征，因此不但在宗教上极富意义，在文化上也占有举足轻重的地位。相传，当桑塔拉德维(Satala Devi)和她的哥哥了解到自己无法胜过莫卧儿王国的军队时，他们就是在这里放下武器，一心向神祈祷，突然一道金光乍现，瞬间两人化为石像；因此人们就是在这座城堡里面搭建了这座圣坛，并用周六来纪念这位女神化为石像的神迹。
