Govemet museum政府博物馆位于一座雕刻优美的浅黄色石筑大楼内。博物馆最初由一位英国人创办于19世纪后期，1910年转移到现在的位置。馆内展出了大量在马图拉Mathua当地出土的史前古器物，以及伟大的贵霜王朝，孔雀王朝和笈多王朝的雕像和钱币。给人印象最深的是博物馆提供的研究印度艺术和肖像学的珍贵史料。可能没有任何一座博物馆能和政府博物馆相比，仅在同一地区就收集了多种珍贵的考古材料。
