：萨卡博动物园建于公元1863年，是古吉拉特最古老的动物园，也是印度第三大历史最悠久的动物园。这里圈养着吉尔狮子。在这一地区，一个面积为500英亩的开放式动物园正在建设之中。建立这样一个动物园的目的主要是为了拯救濒临灭绝的吉尔狮子，同时这里也很适合老虎及豹子的生存。动物园里还有一个博物馆，博物馆展出绘画，手稿和考古发现，同时也有一个自然历史展区。
